Autumn Days...

The autumn months I have to say are my favorite. I love the weather, how the leaves change colors, pumpkins, etc.. I love it all. But there are some days in October that are sad for me. Sad reminders of tragic events. I try really hard to just give those days to the Lord, and remember that those days can not and will not steal my joy. I know in my heart there is a better day coming... The fall season can be a time of rejoicing or forever mourning. I choose to REJOICE!!

I have been getting my "Fall On" all through my home really since the end of August... and I am still adding to it!! (future photos are in the works!) This past evening, I saw my first CHRISTMAS commercial! Now I do love Christmas, but I was like GEE WHIZ can't that wait until at least November!?! Why rush it!?? I do not plan to rush into the holidays like I have done a gazillion times through the years... I am determined to enjoy these autumn days that are here, because I know we will blink and they will be gone.

I encourage everyone to do that. To really enjoy this season!! Take a walk, go to the park, enjoy FALL!! Look at the leaves, feel the wind on your face, experience the beauty, the wonderment of this season!!

Here is a favorite fall poem that I would love to share...

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came.
The Chestnuts, Oaks and Maples,
And leaves of every name.

The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,
The Oaks in crimson dressed;
The lovely Misses maple
In scarlet looked their best.

All balanced to their partners,
And gaily fluttered by;
The sight was like a rainbow
New fallen from the sky.

Beautiful Autumn Blessings to one and all!!
